House and Techno Parties in Frankfurt: Our Guide 2026/27

Where can you find really good house and techno nights in Frankfurt? Our guide for 2026/27 covers big event nights, clubs with history and tips on finding the right parties. Red Tree is in there, but not on its own.

The red tree in blue and red light above the packed hall

Frankfurt and techno go together. Hessian broadcaster hr was still running features in March 2026 on the era when the city was known as a techno capital. Today the scene is broader. Alongside clubs with real history, there are event series bringing house and techno into big spaces. Here is our overview for the 2026/27 season.

How to find the right nights

Resident Advisor is the most reliable place to start. On ra.co you can filter Frankfurt events by genre, so house, melodic house or techno. Also follow the series and promoters on Instagram, because lots of dates only drop a few weeks ahead. And look at the line-up rather than the club. Who is playing almost always decides what a night sounds like.

Red Tree

Quick disclaimer: this is our magazine, and Red Tree is our own series. Musically it is about house, melodic house, organic house, deep house and techno. Red Tree was founded by MASILLA, who also plays. The big indoor nights happen at The Squaire, the building above the long-distance train station at the airport. Vol.3 in March 2025 had Marten Lou, JUNO, Afshin Momadi, Guaved & Sentir and MASILLA, and thanks to the clocks going forward the night ran until 6 am. The Season Opening in March 2026 brought Everest, Del Campo, RIVO and Maxim Lany × MASILLA.

In June 2025 and June 2026, Red Tree hosted the VIP afterparty at World Club Dome. In September 2025, the Summer Edition at Oceans Club in Gateway Gardens was the first open air, with HUGEL headlining. Wherever it goes, the signature is the big, glowing red tree in the middle of the room.

Good for: anyone who wants house and techno as a big night with real production, not a basement party.

Robert Johnson, Offenbach

Strictly speaking not Frankfurt but Offenbach, on Nordring right by the river Main. Robert Johnson has been around since 1999 and is still one of the best-known clubs in Germany. The room is deliberately small, the sound is strong, and the music is mostly house and techno. If you want to understand club culture in the Rhine-Main region, you should go at least once.

Good for: sound nerds and anyone who prefers an intimate club to a big event.

Tanzhaus West and Dora Brilliant

In the Gutleutviertel, at Gutleutstraße 294, two clubs share the grounds of a former printing ink factory. Tanzhaus West is the bigger one. The smaller Dora Brilliant is known as an experimental space where local DJs often play their first bigger gigs. In summer there is a garden too. The programme changes a lot from series to series, so check the calendar first.

Good for: anyone who wants to switch between several floors in one night.

More spots

Resident Advisor also lists Silbergold, Tokonoma Club, Zoom Club and MTW among the popular clubs in Hesse. They regularly host house and techno nights. Same rule here: the line-up decides, not the name on the door.

When is the season?

In summer the scene heads outside, onto rooftops, into gardens and to open airs. In the colder months it moves back into halls and clubs. Our own dates show the pattern pretty well: Vol.1 in May 2024, Vol.2 in November 2024, Vol.3 in March 2025, the World Club Dome VIP afterparty in June 2025, the first open air in September 2025, the Season Opening in March 2026 and the second WCD VIP afterparty in June 2026.

Tips for your night

  • Get tickets early. For nights with international acts, the cheaper tiers go first.
  • Do not show up too late. Good sets build, and some of the best moments come before midnight.
  • Plan your journey. The Squaire sits right on the airport's long-distance station and is easy to reach by S-Bahn and train. You can get to Offenbach by S-Bahn too.
  • Choose by DJs. If you only go out once a month, pick by line-up, not by venue.

Our take

For club nights with history, Robert Johnson and Tanzhaus West are essential in Frankfurt. If you want house and techno as a big night with production and the tree in the middle, Red Tree is your place. And if you stay curious, Resident Advisor turns up new nights in the city every week.
